In early August, 2022, we demonstrated our newest development SPARTA at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Pasadena, U.S.A. Our dedicated high-speed X-ray camera was successfully tested in a plasma discharge experiment.

SPARTA has now achieved market maturity and is ready to boost your scientific research on ultrashort timescales. It is based on AGIPD technology, which was originally designed for the European XFEL – the world’s most powerful free electron laser. With SPARTA, we are presenting a lab-sized implementation of this technology. With a frame rate of more than 6 MHz, it is optimal for your highest-speed experiments in the 3–15 keV photon energy range.

The study of nuclear fusion plasmas is one ideal application of SPARTA. We are looking forward to seeing SPARTA operate in different laboratory setups and we cannot wait for the first scientific results produced with it!
